Looking Forward to a White, White Summer.

Maybe it was the dreamy, feathered, lace dresses - seen on many a runway during Fashion Week - or maybe it is all the talk of Kate and Kate's big days, but my brain has been hijacked with wedding thoughts.

Eager to market myself more like the Moss than Middleton type, I am way more excited about the will-he-won't-he Galliano debate, than caring who Middleton will wear. Unless of course it is McQueen. While my dreams of a wedding are a mile off, I feel it justified that if I have to wait until I'm nearer 30 than 20, that I can indulge in this summer's wedding excitement with the production of at least one mental scrap book (let's keep that from the boyfriend though).

The sight of even a white stiletto - common sight in this city - can send me into a haze, dreaming endlessly about perfectly draped tablecloths, chocolate fudge wedding cakes, and who will offer to design my dress. Of course this, not the fact I bagged myself a toy-boy, is the reason I cannot get married until I am veering on geriatric; I need the next few years to cement my BFF status with Sarah Burton, the Mulleavy sisters, and Karl Lagerfeld.

Bearing coloured ink over the left side of chest and shoulder, my wedding will never be traditional. It also won't be contrived, boring, or stereotypical. Realistically I see myself in a Marc Jacobs dress I spotted this summer past, or maybe an Charles Anatase number from a future S/S collection. Ideally said husband-to-be will present me pre-wedding with a black box, tied with a pink ribbon that I will slink open reveal an Oscar de-la Renta number. Yes it is a scene from Sex and the City, but my dreams will not be condensed for anyone.

While I am putting my heady imagination on hold for the time being, April 29th will soon be upon us and seeing as I will by then be a Londoner, I may even join the crowds for some unashamedly cheesy viewing. Until then please enjoy a snippet of my crazed wedding mind. Dresses and all. Well actually just dresses, but that's the most important thing, right?
