Crack in the sink

My loyalty to make-up is always very short lived. Since growing up from No. 17 and the days where buying Rimmel was a treat, each time my foundation bottle starts to get lighter and lighter, I stalk the beauty counters in search of the next best thing.

Chanel, YSL, Dior. I've tried them all. I live to sit in that black, leather chair as the sales assistant pours over me. Puff of powder here. Slick of lipstick there. I am a genuine beauty slut.

Having said that however, I seemed to have changed my ways - for now at least - as I found myself tottering around Harvey Nic's last week in search of the same foundation I had just ran out of out.

Foundation and I just never seem to hit it off, like many of the boys I once 'dated' (there were no dates), there was always something that failed to close the deal. Mac's Pro-Longwear Foundation however has scored off many of the points on my must-possess-to-be-purchased-twice checklist.

Fails to give me big, blotchy spots reminiscent of a pubescent teenager.

"15 hours of staying power" means it stays on past 6PM, and comes up trumps after even the most serious of crying sessions.

I am able to lie my head against my boyfriend's white-T-shirt-clad shoulder without a falling out over the fact I have transferred the equivalent size of my face in brown to his fresh new cotton.

Makes my face looks better than the last one I tried.

Looks nice in my bathroom, and the sturdy glass bottle even managed to crack my sink. Ooops.
